TRAVELING TO COLUMBIA

The Columbia Metropolitan Airport <www.columbiaairport.com (CAE) is served by Continental, Delta, United, and US Airways. Direct flights from New York City take less than 2 hours.  The Clarion offers free shuttle service to and from the Columbia Airport.

The Charlotte Airport , www.charmeck.org/Departments/Airport/home.htm,  (CLT)  is two hours away and there is a shuttle service to both hotels. It is the Columbia Charlotte shuttle:  www.columbiacharlotteshuttle.com/.  For Reservations Call (803) 783-5123.  
 
If you are driving, three interstates bring you to Columbia: I-77 from the north; I-20 from the southwest/northeast; and I-26 from the northwest/southeast. Drive times run about 75 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina; 80 minutes from Charleston, South Carolina; 3.5 hours from Raleigh-Durham; and 4 hours from Atlanta.

Parking at the university is limited, but some spaces are available with advanced notice. Please contact Paulette Jimenez at jimenezp@mailbox.sc.edu (put "SEWSA Parking" in subject line) to request a USC parking pass. Shuttle service to and from the Clarion Hotel will be provided as needed. Both the city and the university have in-town public transit.
